G.J. Gardner moves to Net-Zero Homes


Wild Pointe Ranch in the Denver bedroom community of Elizabeth will be one of the largest energy conscious communities in the country when complete, as well as the first in the American market to use integrated energy systems.

Custom homebuilder Scott Moberg of G.J. Gardner Homes - Parker has been chosen to be a part of the development of Wild Pointe Ranch, which will use pioneering building practices as part of its net-zero goals.

One of the major advances will be taking advantage of earth’s subterranean furnace, specifically geothermal energy. While Wild Pointe Ranch does not require geothermal on every home built, it will be highly encouraged, according to the builder.

Scott Moberg of GJ Gardner Homes says he’s excited about being a Wild Pointe Ranch builder.

“It’s an exceptional site to build an Energy Smart home. Buyers will get the home of their dreams, built using the latest trends in green building and renewable energy systems.”

Moberg has enlisted the help of G.J. Gardner’s subcontractors and suppliers to obtain Energy Star’s 3.0 status for the Energy Freedom model home, which will be showcased in an August model home tour. 

G.J. Gardner – Parker plans to build homes priced between $400-$600k at Wild Pointe Ranch on lots featuring five acres of rolling terrain. All homes will be ENERGY STAR® rated, with some meeting Energy Star’s 3.0 levels. Energy Star® standards will be third-party verified to ensure program compliance and to obtain relative energy performance statistics such as HERS ratings to demonstrate actual savings to the consumer.
